Cathie's Accounting & Tax Service was formed in 1999 to provide a full line of accounting, full-charge bookkeeping and tax preparation services on a year round basis. C.A.T.S. specializes in individual, home-based businesses, partnerships, non-profits and small to mid-size corporations.

With over 20 years of accounting experience, C.A.T.S. offers you a high quality alternative to in-house accounting and bookkeeping services on an affordable fee basis. C.A.T.S. offers a wide range of services to our individual and business clients. Our quality services are personalized to your special needs.

Qualifications:

Cathie Read, President

A graduate of Sierra College with an AS degree in Accounting and the University of Phoenix with a BS degree in Finance and Management, Cathie has over 20 years professional experience. After spending 7 years providing bookkeeping services for a local travel agency, she decided to broaden her experience. She spent the next 11 years working as Controller and/or Director of Finance for various mid-size corporations.

In 1999 Cathie left the corporate "rat race" to provide individualized services to individuals and business clients. Cathie has lived in the Auburn area since 1975 and maintains an active connection to community. She is a member of the Auburn Area Chamber of Commerce; past-president of Soroptimist International of Auburn; served on the board of PEACE for Families; Auburn Leadership Board of Regents; member of Auburn Leadership Alumni Association; and, Guild volunteer with Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital Foundation. Additionally, Cathie holds membership with various technical organizations such as the National Association of Tax Preparer's and California Enrolled Agents.
